JIN Canrong, male, was born in 1962, in Wuhan, Hubei Province. He gained his doctor degree in School of International Studies, Peking University. JIN is currently Deputy Dean, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of international studies, Renmin University of China. In addition, JIN serves as Director of the Academic Committee of the Center for International Energy and Resource Strategy Studies(CIEESS), Renmin University of China; Deputy Director of the Center for American Studies, Renmin University of China. He is also vice President of China National Association for International Studies, Special Researcher of the Research Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Executive Director of China Reform Forum, Council Member of China International Public Relations Association, Executive Director and Researcher of the Institute of Asia’s Future. JIN also enjoys the special government allowance of the state council of PRC. His research interests include American political institution and political culture, American diplomacy, Sino-American relations and major-country relations, China's foreign policy.
