ZHOU Hong


ZHOU Hong, female, Han Ethnicity, member of the Communist Party of China, was born in October 1952 in Qufu, Shandong Province. She acquired her PhD in Comparative History at Brandeis University and now works as the Deputy Director of Academic Division of International Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She is the Dean of Institute of European Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences where she works as a researcher and doctoral supervisor. She is also the Chairperson of Chinese Society for European Studies, Vice Chairperson of China National Association for International Studies and Vice Chairperson of China-EU Association. ZHOU enjoys special government allowance and is awarded the title of Young & Middle-Aged Expert with Outstanding Contribution. She is a scholar in the fields of modern European society, politics and diplomacy, welfare state, foreign assistance, and modern European history. ZHOU has for long worked in the fields of social security, welfare state, modern European society, and other related areas.
