ZHENG Xiaoying


ZHENG Xiaoying, female, was born in August in 1956. She obtained a doctoral degree in history (physical anthropology) in Peking University. She is director, professor and doctoral supervisor of Institute of Population Research of Peking University/WHO Reproductive Health and Population Science Cooperation Center, and dean of APEC Health Science Academy of Peking University. As an academician of The World Academy of Sciences, a Changjiang distinguished professor of Ministry of Education and winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, she was twice appointed as the chief scientist of National 973 Programs in population and health fields and the leader of the panel of National Disability Prevention Action Plan. She also does part-time jobs as the deputy director of China Disability Research Society, vice-chairman of the special committee of injury prevention and control of Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, Chinese representative at International Disability Washington Group and a committee member of APEC Life Science Innovation Forum. Her main research fields are population, environment and health, reproductive health, health economy administration and pubic policies on social development.
