​ZHANG Weiying


ZHANG Weiying, male, was born in 1959 in Wubu County, Yulin, Shaanxi Province. He obtained his PhD in Economics at Oxford University. He is the co-founder and professor of National School of Development at Peking University (formerly the China Center for Economic Research). He once worked as the Director of Network Economy Research Center of Peking University, the Dean of Guanghua Management College of Peking University, professor of Economics, Vice President of International Association for Chinese Management Research and Vice Chairman of the Chinese Economic Association (UK).

In 2002, he was named “China Economic Person of the Year” by CCTV. In 2008, he was named one of “30 Economic People in 30 Years of Reform” by China Society of Economic Reform. In 2012, he was awarded “the Most Influential Economist of the Year” of NetEase Finance.
