YU Keping


YU Keping, male, was born in 1959 in Zhuji, Zhejiang Province. He is a famous scholar specialized in politics, and also the major advocator for democratic governance in China. He serves in Peking University as the chair professor, the Dean of School of Government, Director of Research Center for Chinese Politics and doctoral supervisor of both philosophy and politics majors. He is the honorary doctor at University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany), once served as the Deputy Director of Central Compilation and Translation Bureau, visiting professor or senior research fellow in Harvard University (U.S.), Duke University (U.S.), Free University of Berlin (Germany), University of Duisburg-Essen (Germany), and University of Nottingham (UK), as well as the Dean of Tsinghua University Kai Feng Development Research Institute. Besides, he is the adjunct professor of schools including Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Normal University, China University of Political Science and Law, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nankai University, Sun Yat-sen University, Jilin University, Xiamen University, Sichuan University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and Harbin Institute of Technology.
