MA Guangyuan


MA Guangyuan, male, born in Jingning County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province in 1972, obtained his PhD in Economics and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow of Industrial Economics at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is now an independent economist, Deputy Director of the Central Economic Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association and commentator of CCTV-2 (finance and economics). In addition, he is also a member of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Deputy Director of the Beijing Finance Committee of China National Democratic Construction Association, member of the Standing Committee of CPPCC in Xicheng District, Beijing and Deputy Director of the Economic Committee, as well as a columnist and special commentator for Financial Times (China), The Economic Observer, China Business Journal, Southern Weekly, Southern Urban Daily, etc. In recent years, MA has played an important role in the fields of macro-economy, industrial policy, private investment and real estate. He has conducted in-depth analysis on the causes and evolutionary logic of the global financial crisis since 2008, and was the first scholar in China to give an early warning of the possibly negative effects of the market-rescue policy with 4 trillion yuan. He focuses on the fields of macroeconomy, private investment, real estate and industrial security.
