GUO Jie


GUO Jie, female, PhD in Laws, is an associate professor of Department of Comparative Politics of School of International Studies, Peking University and Institute of World Socialism. Her research interests lie in Latin American region and countries, China-Latin America relations, political diplomacy in central and Eastern Europe, more specifically Chinese investment in agriculture of Latin America, Hispanic immigration to the U.S., Polish diplomatic transformation after the Cold War, American response and decision-making to the major crisis in Eastern Europe during the Cold War, etc. Her publications include Agricultural Cooperation Between China and Latin America, Research on Political Development In Eastern Europe After the War, Hungarian Event: Policy and Response of the United States, Tragedy and Confusion: Imre Nagy and Hungary in the 1950s, Globalization and Agriculture: Reducing Unequal Development, Archives of American Intelligence of China (1948-1976), etc.
