ZHANG Yunling, male, was born in May 1945. He is the research fellow and member of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and he works in Shandong University as a distinguished professor of Humanities at Class A level and serves as the Director of the Committee for Subject Development of School of Northeast Asian Studies, with the honorary title of “expert with special contribution” granted by the national government. He once served as the member of the 10th, 11th, and 12th National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference , National People’s Congress Foreign Affairs Committee, Director of the Center for Regional Security Studies of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Vice Chairperson of China-Republic of Korea Friendship Association, Director of the Academic Committee of Institute of Asian Studies of China Foreign Affairs University, leading scientist of ASEAN-China Collaborative Innovation Center for Regional Development of Guangxi University, and board member (on behalf of China) of Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia. Besides, he was the Chairperson of Chinese Association of Asia-Pacific Studies, member of East Asia Vision Group, official member of the expert group for China-ASEAN Cooperation, Asian representative of the expert group for Asia-Europe Cooperation, leader of expert group for the Regional “Feasibility Study on the Construction of Free Trade Zone in East Asia”, the member of expert group for the Feasibility Study on Establishing “Comprehensive Economic Partnership for East Asia”, the Chinese Chairperson of China-Korea Joint Expert Committee, and consultant of Deutsche Bank in Asia-Pacific region.
