DAI Xingyue, make, Han nationality, was born in 1940 in Shanghai and is a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang. Professor and graduate student supervisor of School of Arts of Peking University, and review expert of research programs in humanities and social sciences of Ministry of Education. He is a part-time professor in College of Foreign Studies of Nankai University. He offers courses such as History of World Films, History of American Films，Genre Films and American Films Analysis. Among them, History of World Films is one of the ten best courses Peking University offers to Tsinghua students. He has held academic lectures and teaching positions in many universities at home and abroad, and traveled many countries and regions such as the USA, Japan and Macao. He published dozens of film reviews, and translated Ways of Seeing, Street Boys and Poems of Chinese Youth.
