Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger Memorial Fellowship, School of International Studies, Peking University was entrusted by the Berger family to donate to the Peking University Foundation (U.S.) from the U.S. Sino-US Education Exchange Fund. This fellowship scholarship program was established at Peking University to commemorate the well-known national activist and former U.S. President Clinton National Security Advisor Mr. Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger, It is used to commend outstanding young people from China and the United States who are interested in promoting Sino-US cooperation and friendship.
In April, the 2021 Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger Memorial Fellowship application is officially launched. After multiple rounds of joint selection of candidates by scholars and experts from iGCU, representatives of the China-US Education Foundation and Ms. Susan Berger, two students with outstanding moral character, high grades, solid professional foundation, and clear future career plans have passed the final selection and become the recipient of the Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger Memorial Fellowship, School of International Studies, Peking University in 2021.

WANG Xin, A Postgraduate majoring in International Relations, School of International Relations, Peking University, admitted in 2020.
YANG Jing, A Ph.D. student majoring in International Politics, School of International Relations, Peking University, admitted in 2020.
Samuel R. "Sandy" Berger Memorial Fellowshipwill continue to encourage young scholars from China and the United States to conduct friendly exchanges, strengthen academic exploration, view the relationship between the two countries with a more open and inclusive attitude, learn from each other's strengths in mutual respect, and promote a kind of Sino-US relations which is based on coordination, cooperation, and stability. The fellowship award ceremony and the Sino-US student exchange seminar project will be launched in December.
