CUI Tiankai, male, was born in October 1952 in Zhejiang Province, obtaining his master’s degree in International Public Policy at Johns Hopkins University. CUI is currently the Chinese Ambassador to the United States. He used to be the Vice Director-General of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Spokesperson of the MOFA, Director-General of the Policy Research Office, and the Department of Asian Affairs, Assistant to Foreign Minister and Vice Foreign Minister, and the Chinese Ambassador to Japan.
