HAN Qide, male, member of the Communist Party of China, was born in July 1945 in Cixi, Zhejiang Province. Graduated from the Department of Pharmacology &Chemical Biology at Emory University in the United States, HAN is a renowned pathophysiologist in China, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the World Academy of Sciences, Honorary President of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), professor and doctoral supervisor of Peking University. He is currently the Dean of the Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Peking University. HAN used to be the Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Jiu San Society, President of CAST. He also served as the Executive Vice President of Peking University, Dean of Peking University Graduate School, President of Peking University Health Science Center, Director of Peking University Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, and Director of BioMed-X Center of Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies.
