HE Yafei

HE Yafei, male, was born in March 1955 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, obtaining his master’s degree at Beijing Foreign Studies University. HE is a veteran diplomat and the Honorary Dean of the Research school of 21st Century Silk Road, Jinan University. He used to be the Minister of the Chinese Embassy in the United States, Director-General of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs, Assistant to Foreign Minister, then Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He also served as the representative of the Permanent Mission of the People’s Republic of China to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Other International Organizations in Switzerland, and Deputy Director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council.
