XU Guanhua

XU Guanhua, was born in December 1941 in Shanghai, obtaining his bachelor’s degree at Beijing Forestry College (currently known as Beijing Forestry University). XU is a scientist of Resources Remote Sensing and currently a member (Academician) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician of the World Academy of Sciences, Foreign Academician of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, Academician of the International Academy of Astronautics, researcher of the Institute of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was previously the Director of the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Minister and Secretary of the Leading Party Group of Ministry of Science and Technology
