ZHOU Wenzhong, male, was born in August 1945 in Jiangsu Province, obtaining his bachelor’s degree at University of International Business and Economics. ZHOU is currently a member of the Council of Advisors of the Boao Forum for Asia and Vice President of the U.S.-China Peoples Friendship Association, and also adjunct professor of Shanghai Jiaotong University and Nankai University. ZHOU used to be the Chinese Ambassador to Barbados and concurrently to Antigua and Barbuda, Ambassador to Australia, Vice Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China and Ambassador to the United States. He also served as a member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the 11th and 12th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Committee of the 12th CPPCC and Secretary-General of Boao Forum for Asia.
