LIU Qiao, Han Ethnicity, obtained his PhD in Financial Economics at University of California, Los Angele. He currently serves as a professor of Finance, the Dean of Guanghua School of Management and a doctoral supervisor at Peking University, as well as a member of the 17th Issuance Appraisal Committee of China Securities Regulatory Commission. He was awarded the National Nature Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, appointed as the Distinguished Professor of “The Yangtze River Scholar” by the Ministry of Education, and honored with the 2017 Influencing China Economist of the Year by China Newsweek. He mainly teaches courses including Corporate Finance, Merges and Acquisitions, and International Financial Management. Big to Brilliant: The Second Expedition of Chinese Enterprises is one of his representative works. Before he joined Guanghua, LIU was granted tenure at University of Hong Kong.
