ZHENG Zhijie, male, earned his Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina, USA. He is currently a Peking University Boya Chair Professor and the Chair of the Department of Global Health of the School of Public Health at PKU. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), the Vice Chairman of China Global Health Network, the Vice President of the Public Health Physician Branch at the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (CMDA), the Vice Chairman of Prevention Committee of the CMDA Cardiovascular Physician Branch, the Vice Chairman of the Prevention and Control Committee for Cardiovascular Disease of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association, the Vice Chairman of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Branch of China Association for Disaster & Emergency Medicine, the Executive Chairman of China Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Alliance, the Executive Director of China Heart Society, a Commissioner of the Western Pacific Region of the International Association for Chronic Diseases, etc. He is a member of expert committees and special groups for various government organizations and professional societies, as well as a member of the organizing committees of academic conferences, and a visiting professor at many universities. His main research directions are global health strategies, system and policies for first aid and emergency care, and epidemics and intervention strategies for non-communicable chronic diseases.
