With profound respect and deep sorrow, we would like to mourn for the passing of Dr. Henry Kissinger, an international statesman, an icebreaker and continuous supporter of China-U.S. relations, and an old friend and trusted friend of the Chinese people. The efforts and contributions that Dr. Kissinger made to promote the positive development of the bilateral relations will forever be remembered. Dr. Kissinger's legacy will live on through countless generations, and he will always be missed by the Chinese people.
Dr. Kissinger visited PKU seven times in a span of over 22 years and had engaged in different types of communications with students and scholars from PKU. “I enjoy coming to PKU. The students are lovely and dedicated, making efforts for the fulfillment of their life,” said Dr. Kissinger.
