From March 4 to 5, 2026, the "China-U.S. Student Dialogue 2026" was held at Peking University. This event was co-hosted by the Georgetown University Initiative for U.S.-China Dialogue on Global Issues and the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding (iGCU) at Peking University. Faculty and students from both universities engaged in in-depth exchanges on crucial issues in global governance and China-U.S. relations.

On March 4, Chinese and American students participated in campus tours and exchange activities at Peking University. The students were divided into groups to visit campus landmarks, including Weiming Lake, the Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology, and the Geological Museum. They also held free discussions and exchanges at the School of International Studies, Peking University.

On the morning of March 5, the dialogue officially entered the group presentation phase. Students sequentially delivered group reports on five themes: "Business and Trade," "Climate Change," "AI and Technology," "Peace and Security," and "Global Governance". Each presentation included three segments: a thematic statement, an interactive Q&A, and expert commentary. Scholars who provided commentary and summaries for the group reports included Wang Dong, Professor of the School of International Studies at Peking University, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Sciences, Director of the Office of Think Tank Management, and Executive Director of iGCU at Peking University; Lei Shaohua, Associate Professor at the School of International Studies and Deputy Head of the Department of International Organizations and International Public Policy at Peking University; and Kristen Looney, Associate Professor in the Department of Asian Studies and Department of Political Science at Georgetown University.

This dialogue provided a platform for young scholars from China and the United States to communicate and collaborate on global issues. Through interdisciplinary and cross-cultural discussions, the event deepened both sides' understanding of each other's social and policy issues, and accumulated valuable experience for future academic and youth exchanges between China and the U.S.
