On May 20, 2026, a lecture titled New Trends in China-U.S. Relations Following President Trump’s China Visit, part of the Kim Koo Forum Lecture Series hosted by the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding (iGCU), Peking University, was held at the School of International Studies, Peking University.

The keynote speech was delivered by Sun Yun, Senior Fellow, Director of the China Program and Co-Director of the East Asia Program at the Stimson Center in the United States.

The lecture systematically reviewed outcomes of President Trump’s state visit to China and the underlying strategic logic behind the trip.
