WANG Yizhou, male, Han Ethnicity, was born in July 1957 in Wuhan, Hubei Province. He is currently a professor and the Associate Dean of the School of International Studies at Peking University, Boya Chair Professor of Peking University, Vice President of the China National Association for International Studies and the Chief Editor of The Journal of International Studies. He formerly worked as the Deputy Director of the Contemporary Research Office of the Institute of Marxism-Leninism of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; the Director of the International Studies Research Office, and Deputy Director and researcher of the Academic Division of International Studies of the Institute of World Economy and Politics of the at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; the Chief Editor of World Economics and Politics; the Dean of the Department of World Economy and Politics of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, where he works as a professor and doctoral supervisor. He is also a visiting professor or researcher at China Foreign Affairs University, Renmin University of China, People’s Public Security University of China, Communication University of China and Zhejiang University, etc., as well as a member of the Editorial Board of more than ten academic journals at home and abroad. His researches mainly focus on China’s diplomacy and international relations theory. His recent research directions include China’s diplomatic transformation and diplomatic capacity building; China’s international image and international public goods; new trends, methods and growth points of international relations research. He has published over 400 papers, critiques, reports, reviews, etc., with a total of more than 1.5 million words.
