The article“Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic & technological progress on the globalization trend”written by Prof. Wang Dong (Executive Director of iGCU) and Prof. Jia Zifang (Lecturer of the Institute of International Relations at China Foreign Affairs University and Non-Resident Associate Fellow of iGCU) was published on International Forum (《国际论坛》), 2021(01). The article was recently selected to be the reference article for "The Top 10Hot Topicsin the Studies of Chinese Humanities in 2020/21", an event co-organized by theJournal of Literature, History, and PhilosophyandChina Reading Weekly.
The article examined COVID-19's negative impacts on the trend of globalization as well as the current world order, noting that technological progress would promote the development of globalization.Moreover, it is believed that China would take the lead to promote new trend of globalization and reglobalization.
