On the morning ofn December 11, 2014, Associate Professor Matthew A. Shapiro from Illinois Institute of Technology gave a lecture themed International Collaboration and the Age of Green Technology in School of International Studies. Prof. Zhang Haibin of School of International Studies presided over the event. Taking joint research and development of China, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan region in the high-tech field as research object, Prof. Shapiro analyzed how much could policies influence joint R&D, main environmental problems in different regions and have such environmental problems affected the joint R&D of the above countries and regions. Master students and students under English-teaching programs of School of International Studies, Peking University and many students from other universities participated in the seminar.
