The U.S. Congress Assistant Delegation met with teachers and students of the School of International Studies

On March 31, 2015, the U.S. Congress Assistant Delegation of the U.S.-China Policy Foundation had a seminar with teachers and students of the School of International Studies at a pavilion conference room of the Weiming Lake. The delegation consists of 19 people, including Officer Directors and Legislative Directors of the Senate and House of Representatives, as well as major senators and representatives of the two parties. Prof. Wang Yong, Director of Center for International Political and Economic Research, Associate Professor Yu Tiejun from Center for International Political and Economic Research, Associate Professor Wang Dong, Deputy Director of Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding and students of international programs participated in the seminar. Wang Yong presided over the seminar. The participants had heated discussions and extensive exchanges over issues including China-U.S. relations, AIIB Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, China’s policy towards North Korea and China’s political, economic and social development problems. This seminar deepens the understanding of the U.S. Congress Assistant Delegation’s understanding of China-U.S. relations and China’s foreign policies. It is thus conducive to the stable development of China-U.S. relations. Guests from the U.S. Congress expressed their willingness to maintain communication and exchange with the School of International Studies and make further contributions to the development of China-U.S. relations.
