Professor Xue Lan Attends the Symposium Presided over by General Secretary Xi Jinping

Professor Xue Lan attends the symposium and delivers a speech

On the afternoon of June 2, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, presided over the symposium for experts and scholars and delivered an important speech. Professor Xue Lan, Member of the Academic Committee of Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding, Peking University, Chief Expert of Center for Crisis Management Research, Tsinghua University attended the symposium and delivered a speech.

President Xi stressed that people’s security is the cornerstone of national security. We should strengthen our bottom-line thinking, be more alert to potential risks, and constantly guard against major risks in hygiene and health. Only by building a strong public health system, perfecting the early-warning response mechanism, comprehensively improving prevention, control and treatment capacity, establishing dense protective networks and solid separation walls, can we effectively guarantee people’s health.
