Professor Wang Dong voiced sharp criticism at Shangri-La Dialogue

Singapore, June 2, 2024–The 21st Shangri-La Dialogueconcludedin Singapore, with Professor Wang Dong, Executive Director of the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding (iGCU) at Peking University, professor at the School of International Relations in attendance. During the first parallel session on May 31^st, Wang responded sharply to a report released by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) that accused China of spreading disinformation. He emphasized the importance of participating in international debates to assert the voices of Chinese scholars, framing it as an active struggle for discourse power.
