[Abstract] The generational change in population and the increasing liberal tendency have brought about a relative decline in religious beliefs in American society, and this decline has induced group anxiety among conservative Protestant forces and a backlash against the idea of unity in the military in the U.S. military. Since the U.S. military has not yet established an effective mechanism to manage faith issues, faith conflicts have not only become a hidden problem in the construction and management of the U.S. military, but also a major problem affecting the stability, unity and morale of the military. The conflict between conservative sects and other religious and non-believing groups in the U.S. military has provided mobilization energy for conservative political forces in the United States. It has contributed to the success of Trump's presidency.
