HAN Fangming

HAN Fangming, male, Han ethnicity, was born in 1966 in Shangyi, Hebei Province, and obtained his Ph.D. at Peking University and Post Doctorate at Harvard University. He is the former member of the 10th, 11th and 12th National Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the incumbent Vice Chairman of Public Diplomacy Convener of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Committee of CPPCC, a member of the 13th National Committee of CPPCC, Vice Chairman of the Western Returned Scholars Association, Vice Chairman of China Overseas-Educated Scholars Development Foundation, Deputy Chief Editor of Public Diplomacy Quarterly under China International Publishing Group, and Founding Chairman of the Chahar Institute, a well-known think tank of diplomacy and international relations. Since 1995, he has served as the Director of Air China, Sinohydro Group, China State Shipbuilding Corporation and other listed companies, commercial banks, and finance companies at home and abroad. He joined TCL and worked as its Group Vice Chairman, and acted as a member of the 3rd Board of LeTV. Besides, HAN is the Editor-In-Chief of Introduction to Public Diplomacy, the first public diplomacy textbook in China, and the Deputy Chief Editor of Public Diplomacy Quarterly under China International Publishing Group.
