ZHAO Baige

ZHAO Baige, female, was born in 1952 in Hebei Province. She is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and achieved her PhD in Biomedicine at University of Cambridge. She is currently the Chairman of Committee of Experts, Research and Development International (RDI), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. ZHAO used to be the former Deputy Director, member and Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Group of National Population and Family Planning Commission of the PRC, former Secretary of the Leading Party Group and Executive Vice Chairman of Red Cross Society of China, etc. At present, She serves as the Head of the Governing Council and treasurer of Asia-Pacific region, International Planned Parenthood Federation, council member of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, Vice Chairman of Asia-Pacific Region, World Family Organization, member of National Working Committee on Children and Women under State Council, member of National Expert Committee on Climate Change, Executive Council Member of Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, member of the Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People’s Congress of the PRC, Chairman of “Belt and Road” International Think Tank, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Leader of the experts group of Euro-China Green & Smart City Summit, National Development and Reform Commission.
