FENG Shaolei, male, born in 1949, graduated from the Department of Politics and Education, East China Normal University. He is Dean of School of Advanced International and Area Studies, East China Normal University, Director of Center for Russian Studies, East China Normal University, Tenured Professor and Doctoral Advisor. He is a member of Valdai Club 7-Person International Advisory Board, member of the Department of Comprehensive Education, Ministry of Education, Vice President of China National Association for International Studies, Vice President of China Association for Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies, Vice President of Shanghai Institute for International Relations, Vice President of Society for International Strategy Research (Shanghai), Vice President of Shanghai Institute for European Studies, International Affairs Consultant of Shanghai Expo 2010, and Conference Ambassador appointed by Shanghai Municipal Government. He served as a member of Sino-Russian Friendship, Peace and Development Committee, member of the Committee of Social Sciences of Ministry of Education, member of Legislative Advisory Committee of Shanghai Municipality, Decision-making Consultant of Shanghai Municipal Government, Foreign Affairs Consultant of Shanghai Municipal Government, and National Macroeconomic Affairs Expert of United Nations Development Program CIS. He is also a member of the Valdai Discussion Club. He specializes in Russian studies and post-war international relations. Main research fields: Russian politics, diplomacy, social transition, great power relations and international politics theories.
