SUN Qixiang

SUN Qixiang, female, Han Ethnicity, was born in September 1956 in Shanxi Province. With a PhD in Economics at Peking University, she is the Boya Distinguished Professor of Peking University and now works as the doctoral supervisor of Risk Management and Insurance of School of Economics at Peking University. She also works as the Vice Director of Center for Finance and Securities Research in Peking University, invited research fellow of China Society of Economic Reform, member of the Economics Association of Beijing, member of the Insurance Institute of China, member of the International Insurance Society, member of American Risk and Insurance Association and Managing Director of Asia Pacific Risk and Insurance Association. She is a committee member of the 12th CPC Commission for Discipline Inspection of Peking University, a member of the Communist Party of China, winner of special government allowance of the State Council and the visiting scholar of Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and Department of Economics at Harvard University. In 2017, she was awarded the title of National March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter. Her main research areas are economic development strategy, state-owned enterprise reform, macroeconomic operation and China’s insurance market.
