XUE Lan, male, obtained his PhD in Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. He serves in Tsinghua University as the Dean and doctoral supervisor of Schwarzman Scholars, senior professor of arts, Vice Dean of Institute of Engineering Development Strategies, and Director of China Institute for Science and Technology Policy. He is the member of the Special Panel for the Advisory and Comprehensive Assessment on National Strategies and the Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation of Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the non-standing senior research fellow of Brookings Institution (U.S.), and the Co-chairperson of the Leading Committee of Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN). Besides, he is the adjunct professor of Carnegie Mellon University, adjunct research fellow of George Washington University, research fellow of IC² Institute of University of Texas at Austin, member of State Guiding Committee for Soft Science, Vice Chairperson of Chinese Association for Science of Science and S&T Policy Research, Standing Director of Society of Chinese Management, Deputy Secretary-general of Association for Soft Science of China, Deputy Secretary-general of National MPA Education Steering Committee, Standing Director of China Association Of Policy Science, Director of Western Returned Scholars Association, and the board member of SciDev.Net, a leading international technology development and information company headquartered in London.
