YANG Jiemian, male, was born in October 1951 in Shanghai, and obtained his PhD at Shanghai International Studies University. He served as the President and is the research fellow as well as doctoral supervisor of Shanghai Institutes for International Studies. Besides, he is a member of Foreign Policy Advisory Group of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, member of assessment panel of the National Social Science Fund and that of projects of social science funded by Chinese Ministry of Education, the Deputy Director of Committee for Friendship with Foreign Countries of 11th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Shanghai Committee, the Vice Chairperson of China National Association for International Studies as well as Chinese Association of American Studies, the Chairperson of Shanghai Society for International Affairs as well as Shanghai Institute for International Strategic Studies, member and also the Chinese group leader of the Executive Committee of Trilateral Commission of North America, Europe and Asia, member of Sino-Russian Friendship Committee for Peace and Development, adjunct research fellow of the Research Center for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, contract professor of schools, such as National Defense University of PLA China, East China Normal University, Shanghai International Studies University and Soochow University. Yang has been granted the State Council Special Allowance, and he has received the honorary titles of National Honor of China World Expo in 2010 granted by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council and Outstanding Expert of Shanghai, as well as awards for his excellent monographs and papers by Shanghai municipal government many times.
