2023 marks the 10^th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).In October this year,we are honored to have invited Ambassador Nabil Fahmy, former Foreign Minister of Egypt and Visiting Senior Fellow of iGCU, to sit for an exclusive interview with us.

During the interview, Ambassador Fahmy shared with us his perception of the BRI, as well as his understandings of the role that the BRI has played in facilitating the development of the Middle Eastern and North African countries throughout the past decade.

Ambassador Fahmy also talked about his perceptions of China’s Global Development Initiative (GDI), and specified the potential areas of cooperation between China and Egypt (as well as other Middle Eastern countries) in the context of the GDI.
